Maddie’s Innovation Grants

Details: Maddie’s Fund® is offering up to $5,000 to implement a new program advancing lifesaving at U.S. based 501c3 or government animal welfare organizations (shelters or rescue groups) focused on dogs and/or cats. This grant opportunity is not designed to cover general operating costs or capital campaigns. They are looking for applications that propose to implement a new program or expand an existing program to increase lifesaving at the organization.

U.S. Conference of Mayors Better Cities for Pets

Details: The United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), the official nonpartisan organization for cities of 30,000 or more, and Mars Petcare, a world leader in pet nutrition and pet care products, launched the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ Grant Program, a nationwide initiative designed to help cities promote, support, and expand pet-friendly programs and policies in communities across the country. They are offering a total of $100,000 in grants in 2018 to help create pet-friendly communities.

PetSmart Charities Pet Transport Grants

Details: Grant awards will support the relocation of animals from areas in North America with significant pet overpopulation (Source Shelters) to locations where the adoption demand exceeds the availability of pets in shelters (Destination Shelters). The grants support collaborative efforts that involve multiple partners utilizing sustainable transport networks relocating at least 1,500 pets annually (U.S.) or 500 pets (Canada).
