Naima brings more than 10 years of project management experience in the nonprofit sector to the Million Cat Challenge. Using her skills in developing structure, streamlining processes, and building collaboration, she will be coordinating the projects that bring the Million Cat Challenge to life.

Nurturing a longtime passion in animal welfare, Naima has served on the Board of Directors for Gainesville Pet Rescue since 2004 and now for Humane Society of North Central Florida, an organization formed from the partnerships of Gainesville Pet Rescue, Alachua County Humane Society, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue, to serve animals and the community of north central Florida.

Naima earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida and has earned Project Management Professional Certification. Originally from New York City, she now calls Gainesville home. She shares her life and everyday adventures with her husband, son, 3 dogs, and red-footed tortoise.
