About Jennifer E Broadhurst
Dr. Jennifer Broadhurst is the Shelter Medical Director for Clay County Animal Services in Green Cove Springs, Florida. She has been in Shelter Medicine for 17 years, beginning at Clay Humane Animal Clinic, a HQHV full service non-profit clinic before working at the Jacksonville Humane Society for 8 years. Prior to her current position at CCAS, she held the role of Director and also worked as an Outreach Veterinarian doing shelter consultation for the University of Wisconsin Shelter Medicine Program. Dr. Broadhurst enjoys hosting 3rd and 4th year veterinary students pursuing their Shelter Medicine Certificate for externships at CCAS, as well as working with the UF Maddie’s Shelter Medicine interns. She is particularly passionate about stress reduction for cats and care of underage kittens in animal shelters! She lives with her husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, an embarrassing number of cats, and enjoys spending time in her backyard by their large koi pond.
