About Heather L Campbell

Dr. Heather Campbell is an Associate Veterinarian at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center, one of the largest animal shelters in country. She mentors veterinary junior and senior externs visiting the Pet Resource Center while introducing them to the trials and tribulations of fast-paced shelter life. A typical day can include triaging trauma cases, forensic exams on investigation patients, and surgical cases while managing a population of anywhere from 300 to over 600 canine and feline shelter patients. During her down time, she loves to hike in the wilderness and experience live theater and musical performances. Dr. Campbell lives in Tampa, Florida with her two FeLV+ cats. The backyard is full of tropical fruit trees and hot peppers.
