Dog Meat Trade

Thanks to the efforts of a UF Shelter Medicine alum, the Cambodian dog meat trade may be coming to an end. 

Last week, UF Maddie’s Shelter Medicine alum Dr. Katherine Polak was on the ground in China assisting with the care of hundreds of dogs rescued from the cruel dog meat trade.

Former MSMP resident Dr. Katherine Polak teamed up with Adam Parascandola from Humane Society International for a series of lectures on how to tackle the dog and cat meat trade.
