Keegan SperaMillion Cat Challenge Outreach and Data Specialist

Prior to joining the Million Cat Challenge team at Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program, Keegan worked as a Senior Manager in Strategy, Research and Development at the ASPCA. In this role, she blended her nerdiness and creativity to help measure program impact, develop strategy, build processes, improve database management, and communicate program and shelter data in a visually tasty way. She worked primarily with LA County Department of Animal Care & Control, LA City Animal Shelters, and shelters throughout the west on a cross-departmental team.

Keegan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Malone University in Canton, Ohio and her Master’s Degree in Leadership & Communication from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. In addition to her work in animal welfare, Keegan also owns a photography business, is working on obtaining her Certificates in Proofreading and Transcript Proofreading, volunteers at the Charleston Animal Society, and manages food pantry boxes (for people and pets) in her neighborhood.

She lives in Goose Creek (Charleston), South Carolina with her husband, Eric, and their three rescue dogs (Dexter, Gladys, and Ethel Mae Frances) and one (diva) cat (Kitty Rosie/Her Highness).
